Position: Senior Service Technician

Reports to: State Manager

Job Summary: As a Senior Service Technician, your primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality
repairs, maintenance, and technical support for commercial catering equipment and air quality
systems. As part of our Service Team, you’ll contribute to exceeding service standards while
assisting in team growth and business expansion. This position contributes to growth and
development of the wider technical team, while fulfilling core service technician responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute repairs and tasks adhering to safety protocols, workplace health, and safety policies, ensuring the well-being of self and others.
  • Conduct on-site activities encompassing installation, repair, maintenance, and customer education on equipment usage.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement solutions using diagnostic tools.
  • Offer technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training and onboarding for new team members as requested.
  • Identify customer needs, foster strong relationships, and maintain rapport.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, job documentation, and quotations efficiently.
  • Adhere to company policies, including safe operation of company vehicles.
  • Undertake any additional duties as directed by supervisors

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Electrical/Gas Trade Certification and License
  • Strong knowledge of commercial catering and air quality equipment, their components, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and relevant software for documentation and reporting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry equipment and tools.
  • Valid Australian Drivers License

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Service Technician in Catering Equipment, Air Quality, or similar industries.

Personal Attributes:

  • Physical fitness for confined space work and lifting requirements.
  • Availability for overtime and on-call rotations.
  • High level of English literacy.
